WRTI & ASTRAL RADIO BLOCK PARTY
Astral | Tuesday September 22, 2020PHILADELPHIA, PA – With ongoing restrictions to in-person concerts and gatherings due to COVID-19, Astral and WRTI have reimagined our annual Block Party, which has drawn upwards of 400 guests each of the past two years in Midtown Village.
We are thrilled to announce the WRTI & Astral Radio Block Party. On Saturday, October 17 at 11:00am, our annual celebration will move from the Block to broadcast waves, showcasing four of Astral’s artists as they transform your homes and neighborhoods into a veritable street festival through their vibrant performances and conversations.

Broadcast during Classical Coffeehouse with WRTI’s Debra Lew Harder, the event will feature a wide breadth of repertoire ranging from Mozart and Bach to John Harbison and Giovanni Sollima. This event allows WRTI and Astral to support our shared values of discovering new artists and new music, even while we cannot come together in-person as a community.
