“Sparkling, crystal clear sound”—Brass Legacy
New York-based horn player, educator, and arranger Eric Huckins has performed with the New York City Ballet, Kanye West, American Ballet Theater, American Symphony Orchestra, as Principal Horn with the Philadelphia Ballet, and in numerous Broadway pit orchestras. A new music enthusiast, Eric has commissioned and premiered over 50 works for solo horn and horn in chamber settings. He is the Executive and Artistic Director (and Co-Founder) of Long Island Chamber Music, which presents specialized classical music concerts, community events, and educational programs year-round for Long Island communities. As an educator, Eric is the Band and Instrumental Music Director at The Green Vale School. He studied at the Curtis Institute of Music and the Juilliard School. Drifter, his debut album released on Summit Records in April of 2021, features 8 new works for horn, evoking night scenes by 9 composers. Eric is a winner of the 2018 Astral Artists National Competition.
