OperaNow! calls Yulia Van Doren “the Anna Netrebko of early music” and the Northwest Reverb says her singing is “dizzying” and “flawless.” For her Philadelphia recital debut, Yulia is joined by renowned lutenist and Baroque guitarist Stephen Stubbs for a program that ranges from Claudio Monteverdi to Benjamin Britten, and includes Baroque gems by Spanish composers as well as Mozart and Schubert Lieder accompanied by Baroque guitar. Mr. Stubbs also performs solo Spanish guitar works.
