Astral’s Community Classics program brings outstanding classical music, performed by world-class emerging artists, to diverse audiences throughout the community. Astral provides numerous opportunities for artists to hone their skills in presenting dynamic and age appropriate concerts with staff in attendance to offer guidance and support.
Through this program, Astral guides tomorrow’s virtuosos toward a new vision for community involvement with an understanding of the importance of making the classical music genre relevant to our times and the courage to seek and prepare unique artistic collaborations.
Astral’s audiences are extremely appreciative of these concerts, because they are so intimate and charged with enthusiasm. The artists find these performances intensely rewarding, and return time and again to these venues upon graduating from Astral.
To our community partners, we invite you to welcome Astral Artists into your community and savor the energy and enthusiasm of our young award-winning classical musicians; we promise a memorable experience. Whether performing music written 500 years ago or yesterday, our artists bring youthful vitality, fresh perspectives, and enormous talent to these customized concerts.
Choose your ideal setting. A collaborative discussion between Astral staff, the artist/s, and representatives from your community help prepare a concert experience particular to your audience.

“It is difficult to find the words to express adequately my appreciation of last night’s concert… I have been a concert-goer all my life and now that the infirmities of age prevent me from getting to concert halls, you can’t imagine what it has meant to me to have such a concert brought to my home.”
Senior Resident
“I was touched by the response we received and by seeing how much happiness and joy our performances brought to the residents… These performances reminded me that music truly is a gift, one to be shared with others… Thank you for providing me an opportunity to reconnect with one of my most important reasons for becoming a performer.”
Judith Linsenberg, recorder, Astral graduate, and founder, Musica Pacifica Baroque Ensemble
