The MILKA/ASTRAL VIOLIN PRIZE, founded and financed by THE MARKOW TOTEVY FOUNDATION of Princeton ($5,000), will be awarded at the discretion of the audition panel to a violinist who wins a place on Astral’s roster following its annual National Auditions.

A portion of the Prize funds are to be used by the winner for participation in one or more international competitions; the remainder of the Prize funds must be used by the winner towards his or her professional career development (such as expenses for advanced lessons, travel to and fees for competitions and festivals, instrument repairs and upkeep, and other professional expenses).
